NST presents VMX88 at PL&S
Based on the company’s latest generation DSP designs, the VMX88 brings no-compromise audio performance and system control to Dante-networked audio installations.
“Our D-Net control software for PC, Mac and iPad gives you complete control over ethernet and wi-fi. The VMX88 is also fully compatible with our VR1 PoE (Power over Ethernet) remote control panel for simple, flexible user control, while control via third party systems such as Crestron™ is available via our simple ethernet control protocol.”
Benefiting from NST’s extensive experience of live sound reinforcement on concert tours and at the UK’s largest festivals, the VMX88 incorporates advanced live sound filters and dynamics algorithms that result in the most transparent audio quality possible. The VMX88’s intuitive front panel interface gives clear visual indication of all inputs and outputs, as well as status of Dante and communications network activity, for simplicity of operation.
The full matrix mixer allows mixing of not only the eight analogue inputs – each one equipped with a compressor, high pass filter, 8 bands of parametric EQ and delay – but also routing of eight channels of Dante-networked inputs to any output channel. All of the eight analogue outputs feature 16 bands of parametric EQ, high and low pass filters, and up to 1.3 seconds of delay, as well as NST’s proprietary high performance two-stage PXL limiters for the best loudspeaker protection.
Industry standard Phoenix-type connectors are used throughout on the VMX88’s rear panel. In addition, the four GPI connections allow configurable actions such as fire alarm mutes and preset recalls. Up to 30 presets can be stored with recall options allowing selective recall combinations of input, matrix and output sections.
